WIAW - so many brownies

Happy Wednesday everyone. I didn't post Monday because I was lazy. That's the truth. Now that uni is starting to slow down (only one more assignment to write!) I have started getting into summer mode where I don't do anything. Ever. But I'll be back into it soon, I swear.

As it's Wednesday, it's time for WIAW. As usual, thanks to Jenn at Peas and Crayons for hosting. And yes, I am aware I am using an old banner, but we don't celebrate Halloween here, it's not pumpkin season and it's definitely not Fall (which is totally called Autumn). So I thought I'd stick to an older one about falling into good habits - which I think I am doing in this week's WIAW.

So these eats were last Friday, when I went to the physio.

I started out breakfast awsesomly - with baked apples, Chobani peach yoghurt, raspberry coulis I bought from Woolworths and homemade muesli I bought from the Brisbane Square markets. It was an amazing way to start the day. I totally stole this idea from the lovely Emilie over at Hungry Delights - I just turned it into breakfast. Sorry for the awful, blurry photo.

After I hurriedly did the weekly menu planning and shopping, I went to the physio where she pushed onto back for a good half hour. I left pretty sore but determined to do something at the gym. I just walked and then cycled for a bit, but I was starving so I came home.

Made some brownies quickly (still recipe testing for magazine article) and then had this amazing lunch: scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach, topped with cheese, side of tomato, sweet potato, pumpkin and salmon.

Then as I was decorating brownies all afteroon I ate a lot of brownie batter, icing and M&Ms. It was awful.

I felt pretty sick from all of the sugar, so I decided to take it easy in the afternoon and I avoided all school work. I regreted it the next day. I just watched tv. Um, is anyone else in love with Once Upon A Time? I know I've talked about it before but I love it so. And seriously, Prince Phillip should have stuck around. Can't wait for Hook and Lancelot and all the new characters. And which fantasy character is Doctor Whale? And who was the dude who got the note that said 'broken' at the beginning of the first ep of the new season? (I loved that actor in True Blood btw; did not want him to be the crazy serial killer - if you've watched True Blood, you know who I mean).

Then, it was dinner time. I made Iowa Girl Eats Key West Grilled Chicken Sandwiches. Made a few changes to suit my taste, and I have to say, I will definitely be making these again! My dinner was also minature because I consumed a lot of brownies. I do usually eat more than this.

And that's it for this week! Hope you are all having a good week!

  6. I looove the reindeer - they came out super cute! And I totally would've made myself ill by snacking constantly while making them, if I was making them! Its like my hand just moves on its own accord during those situations!

And I'm sad that you guys don't have a Halloween! Its my favorite so I'll just have to celebrate extra hard for ya ;)
